The Arch Out Of Archery
Fred received the new Old
Glory with Binary Cam System. The Duck & I have Patriot single cams
and Roy Keefer used a Liberty single cam.
Watches When You Can't
We received 6 EZ-Cam Game
Cameras. Two had Event Counters on them. Before the hunters arrived our
TrailTimers were already showing us what bears were where.
TIMER Game Monitors
- Precision - Performance
We received MAXIMA Carbon
Arrows. The components fit together perfectly and our arrows are ready
for the hunt.
Treestands & Hunting Gear
We asked for a Big Game
Cart and received one. It immediately proved to be handy for moving things
from one place to another.
To Use, Accurate, Affordable
Arizona EZ Fletcher is my
fletching jig of choice. The Duck and I fletched our arrows with it. He
used the helical model and I used the straight fletch one.
|SIMS VIBRATION LABORATORY
LIMBSAVER sent Ultras, Cable
Guard Dampener, Cable Slide and S-Coil Stabilizer. We received them the
day I left for the hunt so Fred rigged them all on our bows at camp.
Enough For The Outdoors
I selected the Bison 6"
Gore Tex Boots for us all. It is not insulated, which is right for this
time of the year. Mine broke in after one day's wear around home. These
boot will get a good test in this rugged, and sometimes wet country.
|NAP New Archery Products
In Accuracy & Performance
We divided up the NITRON,
CROSSFIRE, Scorpion XP and Spitfire XP Broadheads. We all practiced with
them in camp and they grouped with our field points.
The Duck and I installed
the Quick Tune 360 and sighted it in.
Archery Products (NAP)
|DOUBLE BULL Blinds
MATRIX Ground Blinds for
bears? Well, Fred and I both did it last year and we're trying it again
Last year we were surprised
that the bears were not curious or concerned about the blind. Lets hope
it's the same this year.
Bull Hunting Blinds
Starr In The Trees
We received two Traveling
Starr ladderstands and set them up i prime bear areas. They set up easy
and fast. They are quiet too.
The CUBE Carbon & Broadhead
Targets served us well for practice in camp. Everyone checked their bows
before they hunted.
We received Fletch Hunter
& Fletch Hunter Shorty releases with Velcro and buckle straps. I put
the buckle strap on but Fred, Don and Roy used the Velcro one.
We received a Predator Camo
Hearing Enhancement Unit for use on the hunt. We are optimistic that it
will tell us when stealthy bears are in our area.
Rope Ratchets and Hang Em'
High hoists were sent. Fred & Don used the Rope Ratchets to secure
the gear in the back ot Fred's pickup as well as his 12 foot trailer.
Next on the agenda is to
see if the Hang Em' HIghs will lift bears.
Screw In The Hunting Industry
Screw In Tree Steps are
done right with the EZY-Climb tree steps made by Cranford Mfg. They are
easy to screw in trees. I've used a lot of different steps and no other
step is so easy to put in a tree.
|SUNSET CREEK DEERSKINS
I picked out a pair of Deerskin
Moccasins to be Camp Shoes. When you fly you are limited in what you can
pack. These shoes went in my suitcase flat so they didn't take up
any room. They are comfortable too.
Times Brighter Than Any Other
We received a kit with FireTacks,
Reflective Clips, Hot Dots, Gear Markers and FireTape. I've never used
them before, and am anxious to see how easy they are to put out and what
they look like during the day and at night with a flashlight.
|TAYLOR MAID BOW STRINGS
Taylor Maid makes Custom
Bowstrings & Cables. They offered to supply us all with their custom
bow strings. However we didn't get them our specs in time. I will take
them up on their offer when I get back home.
We all used the VENOM Peep
Sight System. It has a perfectly sculpted peep with a hole that is sized
just right for bowhunting. I've used it on other hunts and I like to shoot
with it the best of any peep I've ever used.
